Book: Eugene Gautherot a conscientious winegrower
Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Salle des Fêtes in Celles-sur-Ource: meeting with Jean Laurent and Jacques Daunay to discover a historic, family and passionate book.
"Eugene Gautherot, Raymond Laurent’s grandfather, meticulously transcribed on a notebook, his observations on the weather and its consequences on the vineyard, the plantations he made, his successes and his disappointments."
Jacques Daunay, originally from Rumilly-lès-Vaudes, is the transcriber of this book. A long-time friend of the Laurent family, his affinities with local history and champagne made Jacques the most reliable person to translate Gautherot’s notes.
On this Friday’s programme:
- Open to the public from 17:00
- Video projection 17:35
- Glass of friendship and book sale 18:00
We are expecting many of you!
